Ascorbic acid: Patients w/ hyperoxaluria & G6PD deficiency. May induce tolerance w/ prolonged use of high doses. Zn (acute overdosage): Avoid use of emetics or gastric lavage. Routinely monitor Zn status in patients receiving long-term TPN. May lead to Cu deficiency w/ associated sideroblastic anemia & neutropenia on prolonged administration of high doses. Zn toxicity after the use of contaminated water in haemodialysis soln.
